SP Wicks – Description & Guide

SP wicks are widely used and appreciated for their excellent performance.

The flame size and heat generated depend on the wick's thickness, particularly the number of threads composing it. The thicker the wick, the larger the flame and the faster the wax will burn.

SP wicks are made from 100% cotton, ensuring good rigidity in melted wax, high capillarity, and a strong, stable flame. They are suitable for vegetable-based wax candles, whether scented or unscented.

These wicks come pre-tabbed and are also available in paraffin-coated or non-coated spools.

Pre-cut, waxed, and tabbed wicks are available in various lengths.

SP wicks comply with European REACH standards.

Wick Type & Recommended Candle Diameter (mm):

• SP 30: Diameter 30–40 mm
• SP 40: Diameter 40–50 mm
• SP 50: Diameter 50–60 mm
• SP 60: Diameter 60–70 mm
• SP 70: Diameter 70–80 mm
• SP 80: Diameter 80–90 mm
• SP 90: Diameter 90–100 mm

These recommendations are based on laboratory tests with unscented, uncolored vegetable wax. If using fragrances and dyes, burn tests are recommended to ensure optimal performance.
