Hot Glues and Hotmelts

The adhesives and hotmelt industry uses refined paraffins and microcrystalline waxes for the production of hot melt adhesives.

These "hot glues" are thermoplastic materials used in various applications such as packaging, bookbinding, furniture and toy assembly, and air filters.

  • Low-temperature hot melt adhesives are applied at temperatures around 120°C, making them ideal for bonding electronics, plastics, fabrics, and other heat-sensitive materials.

  • High-temperature hot melt adhesives are applied at around 190°C, which generally ensures a stronger bond.
