Candelilla Wax - Pellets

Description and benefits:

Candelilla wax is extracted from the stems and leaves of the Euphorbia cerifera plant, found in northern Mexico and southern Texas. This plant secretes wax naturally.

Candelilla wax is a hard waxy solid (though not as hard as carnauba wax) with a yellow-brown colour that varies in intensity and is more or less translucent.

• Melting point at 70°C
• 100% vegetable origin
• Non-GMO wax, additive-free and not tested on animals.

Properties:

• Candelilla wax provides hardness and resistance in cosmetic formulations
• waterproof
• mixes well with jojoba wax

Examples of applications:

• Cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry: Candelilla wax is used in cosmetics, particularly for sticks and lipsticks.
• Candle making, hence its name in Spanish (‘little candle’)
• Food industry: candy coating
