Yellow beeswax

Description

Yellow Beeswax is a raw, unrefined raw material obtained directly from beehives. This wax is obtained by a process of steam heating and hot filtration, without undergoing bleaching or deodorisation treatments. It therefore retains its natural characteristics, sometimes including traces of pollen or propolis, making it particularly suitable for natural cosmetic products.

Origin and composition

Beeswax is secreted naturally by worker bees via their wax glands, which are used to build the alveoli in the hive. Composed mainly of esters and fatty acids, it initially appears in the form of small white, translucent scales, which become opaque and amber in colour due to the pigments present, particularly pollen.
